Re purposed Window Project
On April 28th I wrote Window of Perspective and shared my newest project to be. Here is the completed re-purposed window project! At the time I had no idea what I was going to do with this window of opportunity, so I set it aside for a while. I got tired of walking around it in the basement, so I pulled it out last week and here is the end result.
I washed it, sanded it and painted the design with black acrylic paint. The design is a combination of graphics enlarged on the photocopier and taped to the opposite side of the window. From there I traced the design with my paintbrush. I used 2-3 coats of paint to fill the design.
The hard part was hanging it because the darn thing is HEAVY! Actually, the hardest part was photographing it, glare and shadows galore! I am really happy with how it turned out!!
May you be carried on angel’s wings. Now isn’t that a beautiful window of perspective!
“An angel’s wing beats at every window, but only the listening hear and rise.” ~Muriel Strode (1875–1964), My Little Book of Life, 1912
