Ava’s Garden

April 2007 – Emma and Ava, Garden Helpers – taken before Ava’s cancer diagnosis (2008) and long before Ava’s Garden was created (2017). The cornfield behind them is now the site of the Garden/Park.

 

 

Ava’s Garden was established in 2018 as a memorial garden in Ava’s honor. It is a beautiful addition to our community and brings great joy to those who visit the park. This garden is a native garden and it is essential to the preservation of many pollinators. Living Ava’s Way Foundation supports the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the garden. We seek to empower local community members volunteer efforts and expand on pollinator preservation educational opportunities.

Exciting Updates at Ava’s Garden & Park 

Thanks to the generosity of our grant funding and the incredible help of volunteers & partners, Ava’s Garden & Park has blossomed into an even more welcoming and beautiful space for families, friends, and our community.

What’s New

✨ Improved Walking Path – The paths have been refreshed, making the park more accessible and enjoyable for visitors of all ages.

✨ Updated Seating & Gathering Areas – New benches now give families a comfortable place to sit, reflect, and spend time together.

✨ Children’s Area Enhancements – With the help of volunteers, we’ve expanded and improved the play area so kids can enjoy a safe and fun space to explore.

✨ Maintenance & Care – The grant also allowed us to invest in ongoing upkeep, ensuring Ava’s Garden remains a vibrant, peaceful, and well-loved part of the community for years to come.
