Top Three Tuesday – Holiday Wood Crafts
Happy, happy Tuesday! I got a little woodsy crafty last week and made a few things for the holidays. I am excited to share them with you so I’ll cut to the chase and get right after it.
Star Bright Star Light
I have always loved lighted stars! With some trim boards, paint, light, and cable ties these were complete and ready to hang in a couple of days. TWINKLE! TWINKLE! These might be my FAVORITE decoration this year. The pictures don’t do them justice.
Block Head Santa and Frosty Squared
Using scrap 2×4 wood from the shelves we built in our garage this summer, some paint and an old hat this Santa looks adorable. Of course, Santa needed a friend, so meet Frosty Squared. Some scrap wood, paint, buttons and scrap fabric for a scarf. These friends found their new home at the cemetery, decorating Ava’s resting place for the season.
I got these ideas from searching Pinterest. I usually take bits and pieces of several posts and make my own version learning as I go. For example, I should have definitely painted the stars before I put them together. All those corners!! If it was warmer out I would have spray painted them, but I had to paint them inside, so I used some leftover exterior paint and a foam brush. I also clear coated everything to give it an extra layer of protection from the harsh winter weather.
I hope you like this post! If you have questions let me know, just comment below. Have a cheery Tuesday!
