Fifteen Minute Floral
This is my first video tutorial. I’m going to show you how I make silk floral arrangements. This video is completely unscripted and nearly live (sans editing). The lighting and audio are not great, but everyone has to start somewhere. I typically do my best to avoid video cameras so this is a BIG step for me, but why not try something new right? Like I said in Getting Schooled – Being Open To Life’s Lessons, “There is so much to learn from being uncomfortable, like compassion, understanding, and empathy.” It takes practice and skill to create a quality video and I have gained a much greater understanding from this experience.
“Fear of failure must never be a reason not to try something.” – Fredrick Smith
My hope is that the content is useful or at least entertaining. I wanted to share what I have learned because I like to spread creativity around like peanut butter and jelly. Or in the least, you can spend the next 15 minutes counting how many times I say um (cringe). My next goal is to actually plan and script a video project and also learn how to edit videos.
“Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes and having fun”― Mary Lou Cook
