Ava’s Birthday Blood Drive
Ava Hutchinson was a vibrant young lady who fought cancer and the effects of cancer treatment for nearly 10 years. She had a silly sense of humor and loved to laugh. Her personality was off the charts and she was madly passionate about making others happy.
Ava knew the importance of blood products in keeping her alive through treatments, so a birthday blood drive was her final wish. Ava passed away just two days before her twelfth birthday in September 2017. That blood drive was an amazing success and a true testament to the impact she had on this world in such a short time.
We made a promise to Ava that her legacy of giving would go on. It gave her peace, knowing we would continue to make the world a better place in her honor. Since 2017, hundreds have donated blood products at Ava’s Annual Blood Drive. It is an honor to host this event and watch her impact on this world thrive. Thank you to all of those that have and will attend. Your gift of life is essential to those in need and brings peace to us as we keep our promise to Ava.
